Clover is an official Therapy dog

Clover has passed her pet partners exam! My wife has been taking Clover to Pet therapy class at Teamworks and they have passed thier exam. My wife has taken our older dog to Wake Med as a therapy dog for 3 years but Kira has become too old. So it is time to move the younger dog in.

We always knew that Clover would be a challenge to get certified as a therapy dog because she is so hyper and would rather do agility and play than visit people. Clover is actually very shy. I think this training has been very good for her. The next step is to get her accepted at Wake med. They have a very stringent acceptance policy. We have been preparing Clover by exposing her to as many situations as possible. This past week we took her into my work so she could meet people and get exposed to new things like an elevator and open stairs. Publish Post
