The Start of a New Year
After a long holiday break and a few more pounds on both Clover and I, it is time to get back into agility. We had our first compitition agility class for this session last night. This will be a little different than the last classes because there are 4 more people in the class.
We are running very difficult courses because Michelle is getting ready for AKC nationals and practicing very difficult runs. The run last night was one of them. It had 3 major discriminations, 3 serpentines some elongated pinwheels and many difficult angles and approaches. Clover did very well. She did however have a couple of faults---she left the table early, and I had a misscue sending her over a wrong jump. The first run she did very well and did the weave poles, on the second run her entry was good but she skipped a pole near the end.
After class we went to the grass ring and practiced some drills to get ready for private lessons with Paulina on thursday. We practiced stride regulatiors before the A frame and contact approaches. We also practiced weave pole entries.
Even though it was a little cold out, it was a great class and good to get back into thing.
